Thank you for signing up for the CAPS poverty simulation taking place at His Ministries in partnership with Abiding Love Charities, Faithful Love, and Union City Church. We believe a poverty simulation like this is the first step in understanding the pressures that clients experience in life when making hard decisions for themselves and their families.
Event details: July 26th, 3-6PM @ His Ministries: 2009 Norwich St. Brunswick, GA 31520

More Event Details:
It is difficult for those of us who are able to provide basic necessities to our families without private and/or governmental assistance to truly understand the situation that families living in poverty experience every day. Not to mental the emotional strain, fears, and frustrations that impact how they experience life. That is why we thank you for participating in the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS).

You will assume the role of a low-income family member living on a limited budget. This experience will be divided into 4 15-minute increments, simulating one week each of trying to make ends meet. Our goal is to help you understand what outside influences are impacting your clients’ abilities to follow through on your organization’s programs successfully.

“This poverty simulation dramatically demonstrates how much time and energy many families have to give just to survive from day to day. It quickly dispels the myth that people would do fine if they would only go out and get a job!” -CAPS Participant
