Meet Our Coaches

Meet Jessie Mattos

Jessie Mattos is a birth mom in an open adoption and serves as the Director of Birth Mother Programs at Abiding Love Charities. Her adoption story began as semi-open, where all communication went through the agency. Through mutual trust and intentional effort, that relationship evolved into an open adoption with direct contact, a journey that taught her the importance of transparency, communication, and consistency in building lasting connections. Like many birth mothers, Jessie once wrestled with stigma and isolation, hesitant to seek support. That changed when she sat down for a meal with other birth mothers. That meal would change the trajectory of her life. Since then, she has dedicated her personal and professional life to advocating within the adoption community. She received her degree from the University of Florida and has been an advocate and professional in the adoption field, remaining committed to lifelong learning and regularly leading educational and community initiatives to promote understanding and compassionate support within the adoption space.

Meet Jamie Johnson

Jamie Johnson serves as the Director of Adoptive Parent Services at Abiding Love Charities, where she brings a deep passion for adoption education and supporting parents throughout their adoption journey. Jamie lives just outside of Orlando with her husband of 21 years and their two daughters, Hadley (10) and Maisie (4), who joined their family through adoption. She holds a degree from Florida State University and began her career in elementary education before transitioning to adoption advocacy. She is known for her ability to foster meaningful connections and build strong communities. She is dedicated to equipping adoptive families with the tools, education, and support they need to navigate the unique and evolving dynamics of adoption with confidence and compassion.
